The AHSN Network – the UK body that connects the NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry – recently sat down with our UK lead, Felicia Vaz for an interview which appeared online as part of their ongoing series, ‘Meet The Innovators’.
The feature delves into how flexibility during the pandemic spurred new ways for our application to be used, as well as why we are convinced that integrated care is the future.
“Empowering people to self-manage at home not only provides peace of mind, but the results also support shared care discussions for the next steps in the pathway,” explains Vaz. “Where FibriCheck is prescribed by care providers, results are automatically shared with the clinician, supporting evidence informed decision-making. Making health a part of everyday life and helping people to be more engaged in their care is less resource intensive on the healthcare system.”
The article also highlights how we as a company were able to overcome the biggest obstacles we faced upon entering the UK market thanks to our acceptance into both the NIA and DigitalHealth.London, as well as our collaboration with the AHSN.
“I would say that the success of many of our adoptions can be credited to the open and shared dialogue to co-create the approach,” says Vaz. “In this regard, our AHSN collaborations have been truly rewarding and impactful, illustrating the power and potential for scale and spread of innovation when working jointly to deliver transformation.”
