We greatly value your privacy! The present Privacy Statement explains how we process your data when you take part in our survey.

Qompium (”FibriCheck” or ”we”) hereby acts as the data controller with respect to the processing of your personal data and oversees the protection of your privacy.

What kind of information do we collect about you?

• When you consent to take part in the survey, we collect only the data you provide us with yourself by completing the questionnaire.
• As FibriCheck is a mobile health app, some of the questions will relate to your health. Needless to say, the answers (which contain health-related data) you give to these questions will be treated and processed in observance of the utmost confidentiality.

Why do we collect this information?

• FibriCheck collects and processes your data first and foremost to improve the quality of our application and the services associated therewith.
• We may also use your data to develop new services, features and products in the future.
• Finally, your answers are also used to get to know you better as someone who is or is not a FibriCheck user, and to enable us to provide you with a service that is even better tailored to your needs. After all, this is all about you and your health.

Who has access to your personal data?

• Only a small team of staff within our company will process your answers for the purposes listed above. They operate with the company’s fullest confidence and are bound by a duty of confidentiality, which means they are especially conscientious and circumspect in the way they process your data and your answers.
• First of all, it is important that you are aware that on no account will your personal data be sold or made available to other parties.
• In addition, please be aware that in conducting our user research study we use:
  • Typeform (HQ -Spain) to create the questionnaires. Typeform will only have access to the replies but will not know that it is you who entered these replies, which means that as an individual user you cannot be directly identified by Typeform.
  • Active Campaign (HQ – US) for sending the e-mails containing a link to the questionnaires (created using Typeform). Active Campaign will only have access to your identity details (i.e. your name and e-mail address), not to your replies to the questionnaire.
  • Braze (HQ – US) for sending links to the questionnaires via (messages in) the FibriCheck app and for saving/processing the replies to the questionnaires. This means Braze will have access to your identity details (i.e. your name and e-mail address) and your replies to the questionnaire. In spite of the fact that Braze is an American company, all data are stored in Europe, not in the US.
• If you do not agree with the above, we must ask you not to take part in the survey. Your choice in no shape or form affects future developments and/or your use of FibriCheck. However, it is possible that our services will be less tailored to your needs as a result.

How long do we keep your answers to our survey on file?

• We will keep your answers on record for a maximum of 24 months.

What rights do you have?

• You may ask us at any time to be given access to, to rectify or to erase your personal data (such as your answers to the survey). To do so, please send us an e-mail at dpo@fibricheck.be.

What do we do to protect your personal data?

• We have put in place a variety of advanced security measures at technical and organisational level to prevent the unauthorised or unlawful processing of your personal data and to protect your data against accidental loss, destruction or damage, access, disclosure or use.
• Your personal data as collected as part of the survey will be kept on file for 24 months.
